Weeping Radish Farm Brewery & Eco Farm

Weeping Radish Farm Brewery & Eco Farm

When you visit Currituck, you’ll notice a variety of dining, retail and recreational options dotting the famous highway NC 12. Of those, perhaps the most distinctive & diverse is the Weeping Radish Brewery, Butchery & Pub. With a little bit of everything, this is one stop your family will want to make.

Sitting quietly by the side of Caratoke highway, the large rustic building is ornamented by a beautiful mural and accompanied by large silver silos, shining in the sunlight. Goats wander the fields outsides and crops wave gently in the wind. Awards greet visitors as they walk in the door and cold, fresh beers await the guests sitting at the tables and the bar.

Making it possible for OBX natives to drink fresh, local beer from their home has caused a revolutionary shift in the North Carolina pub scene, literally altering some state laws. Others weren’t far behind after Radish owner/founder Uli Bennewitz paved the way for microbreweries in North Carolina over the last 30 years.

With a history as unique and fascinating as the Outer Banks itself, the Radish houses brewery, butchery and restaurant under one roof. On average, the brewery produces 1,000 barrels per year. Sausages, bratwursts and charcuterie are processed, packaged and sold on-site to hungry locals and visitors alike, as well as stocked within other stores and restaurants.

Settled upon 24 acres of farmland and surrounded by wide open spaces, Weeping Radish is a great place to let the kids run wild, and you can even bring Fido – they’re dog-friendly!

From community events to weddings to private parties, the Weeping Radish is a one-stop shop offering food, drink and shopping to weary travelers. Stop by the Outer Banks’ oldest microbrewery during your next journey to Currituck for an experience unlike any other.
