Currituck Travel & Tourism - Independence Day CelebrationWhat better way to celebrate America’s independence than with free live music and a spectacular firework show on the northern Outer Banks?! Join Currituck Travel & Tourism at Historic Corolla Park for our Independence Day Celebration with loads of fun family activities and food provided by local vendors. Activities begin at 5:00 pm and conclude with fireworks at dusk. Admission is free and free parking is available at the park until lots are full. Please note that no coolers, alcohol or on-street parking is permitted. The Historic Corolla Park boat ramp is closed this day with no docking allowed. Dogs are permitted on leashes.

Entertainment Lineup:
Mark Lippard will be entertaining the crowds from 5pm – 6pm  
Black & Blue Experience will perform live from 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Watermelon Eating Contest (sign-up starts at 5pm; contest begins at 6pm)
Kids’ Dance Contest at 7pm
Fireworks Show will begin shortly after sundown (Sunset is scheduled for 8:25pm that evening)

*Due to July 4 occasionally falling on a Saturday or Sunday, the event is not always held on July 4, so please check with Currituck Travel & Tourism for the correct day of the fireworks.
