Whalehead in Historic Corolla
Under the Oaks Arts Festival
(Tuesday & Wednesday)
June 23 & 24
The Under the Oaks Art Festival is a two day outdoor fine art & curated craft show with a variety of artists on the sweeping waterfront grounds of Historic Corolla Park at Whalehead. One hundred year old Live Oaks, open green lawns and casual breezes from the Currituck Sound make for a perfect location. This festival features the unique talents of over 50 quality artists with a wide variety of media, local food concessions, and a silent art auction that benefits Whalehead.
Whalehead in Historic Corolla is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Whalehead was the 1920s residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Collings Knight, Jr., a 21,000-square-foot “mansion by the sea”.
On Wednesday, June 24th, the event will feature a local wine and beer tasting event with live music.
We are working on some EXCITING NEW ADDITIONS coming to the event this year!
