Currituck OBX Spotlight: Roberts Ridge Farm

May 7, 2012

When you spend several days in one location for your vacation, you tend to eat out often. This is understandable, especially if you’re staying in a hotel room with limited amenities. We love all the restaurants in the Currituck area, but there’s something to be said for enjoying a home-cooked meal. When you rent any of the vacation beach homes in the Currituck Outer Banks, you’ll enjoy kitchen access and plenty of space for the family to sit down to dinner. Local farmers markets and grocers are here to keep you supplied with healthy, fresh food, and Roberts Ridge Farm in Shawboro is a great place to shop.

For nearly three decades, the folks at Roberts Ridge Farm have provided locals and visitors with fresh grown corn and other Carolina produce picked at nearby farms. If you follow the “local food” movement, this is definitely where you should pick up groceries during your stay. Eat right, feel good, and maintain the energy to enjoy days at the beach and area hiking trails.

Roberts Ridge Farm is a seasonal operation, typically open from June to August. You’ll want to call ahead for hours.
