Currituck OBX Spotlight: Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars
June 18, 2012
There’s something about the beach and mini-golf that just work together. We know visitors and local alike love to spend the day on our shores, soaking up the sun and watching the waves lap against the sand. After a few hours of tanning and playing in the surf, you may be more inclined to try a few inland activities with the kids. Mini-golf is great – you can still enjoy the sunshine and you get some exercise, and it’s something everybody in the family can do. You don’t have to be a PGA champion to win, but it certainly helps if you know how to negotiate the many twists and turns of the course at Corolla Adventure Golf and Bumper Cars.
There are three nine-hole mini courses, each showcasing the best of the Outer Banks. Putt around wild horses and lighthouses…there’s even a miniature Whalehead Club. It’s like you’re a giant playing through Corolla! Afterward take a spin on the indoor bumper car floor and enjoy a sweet treat at the snack bar.
Don’t forget to check the local guides for coupons (we found some online for you). Line up your best shot, and remember: if you get a hole in one you buy drinks for your party.
