The Currituck / Corolla side of the Outer Banks already enjoys a reputation as a great wedding and honeymoon destination. Every year couples from around North Carolina and the East Coast come to the beach for their dream wedding ceremony on the sand. We’ve seen vacation homes filled with friends and relatives come to wish the happy couple well – a week on the beach makes for an excellent vacation, reunion, and reception combined. If you have considered getting married at sunset while the waves lap gently in the background, we definitely have the resources you need to make the big day the most memorable of your life.
Now, if you’ve been married for a while, that’s great! If the kids have grown and left and you have more vacation time than in the past, why not consider a second honeymoon to the northern Outer Banks? The upcoming shoulder season is the perfect time to come see us – the weather is typically very good, so you can still enjoy walks on the beach and gorgeous views of the coast and mainland from the top of the Currituck Lighthouse.
When you think about it, a second honeymoon during the shoulder season makes perfect sense:
- Crowds are lighter. Many of the families with school-age children have gone home, and while we still have visitors in the area you don’t get the feeling that you are crowded.
- Rentals may drop in price. With the peak season finished, many rental agencies will lower their prices to entice year round visitors. You may be able to find a good deal on a rental with a hot tub and other luxury amenities.
- There’s still plenty to do around here. If you enjoy activities together, you can play a round of golf, take a Segway tour, or bring your bikes and tour the area on two wheels.
- Do as little or as much as you wish. It’s your second honeymoon! Take the time to fall in love all over again before a beautiful beach sunset, and enjoy an intimate dinner for two at any of our upscale eateries.
With summer coming to an end, this is a great time to schedule a second honeymoon.
