Entries for the Currituck Outer Banks Spring 2008 Vacation Giveaway will be accepted, beginning at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on or about March 1, 2008 and will end at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time on or about April 31, 2008. The vacation must be redeemed by December 31, 2008, excluding any and all holiday weeks or other restrictions.
ELIGIBILITY: The sweepstakes is open only to legal residents living in the United States who are at least 25 years of age. Employees of the County of Currituck, Resort Quest, GiGi’s Restaurant, Corolla Beach Jeeps, Kitty Hawk Kites, and the Whalehead Club, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (and those living in their same households) are not eligible to participate in the sweepstakes. By entering the sweepstakes, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Currituck County and its participating sweepstakes affiliates, respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages which may arise out of participation in the sweepstakes or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of prizes. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules. Void where prohibited by law, rules or regulation. All Federal, State and local laws and regulations apply.
HOW TO ENTER: Online participants may enter only once per email address over the course of the Giveaway. You must connect to the Internet through an Internet access provider. To enter online, you must enter your first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, your email address, and any other questions in the online entry form. After entering the correct information in all the fields and clicking the “submit” button, you will be immediately entered in a database for a random drawing to win the Grand Prize offered in the Giveaway. Entries made by Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. Entries may also be made by downloading, completing, and mailing the PDF Entry Form. The authorized account holder is deemed as the person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. The potentially winning entry may need to provide the County of Currituck with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry.
GIVEAWAY DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: The winner will be selected in an electronic, randomized drawing from all eligible entries received for the Giveaway. The Giveaway Grand Prize drawing will be held on or about May 1, 2008. Partners reserve the right to substitute any non-cash prize with a prize of equal or less value for prizes that become unavailable. The potential winner will be notified by phone and/or registered mail and have ten (10) days from receipt of winning notification to claim his/her prize by completing, signing, notarizing and then returning the prize Affidavit of Eligibility Release, Liability Release, and Publicity Release forms, or an alternate winner will be selected. Winner of the Grand Prize must sign and return a liability and publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents. Non-compliance, or if a selected potential winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim prize, or fails to return the completed and executed Affidavits and Releases, as required, or if the Prize Notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, an alternate winner will be selected.
DISQUALIFICATION: The County of Currituck and its partners are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions, technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Giveaway, as solely determined by Currituck County, will be disqualified. If disqualified for any of the above abuses, Currituck County reserves the right to terminate player’s eligibility to participate in the Giveaway. In the event any portion of this Giveaway is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Currituck County which, in the sole opinion of the sponsor, corrupts, or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Giveaway, Currituck County reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Internet portion of the giveaway, but may continue with the free, alternate means of entry portion. The prize will then be awarded, in a random drawing from all entries received prior to such a suspension. Currituck County is not responsible for any problem with the giveaway entry generated by computer hardware or software malfunction, error or failure. If a potential winning entry is made by Internet or other computer entry, that potential winner may be required to provide the County of Currituck with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the electronic mail address associated with the potential winning entry.
