COROLLA LIGHT GARNERS 10TH CONSECUTIVE AWARD
For the 10th year in a row, Corolla Light Resort is recognized as the North Carolina Resort Community of the Year.
Corolla Light received the award in the medium-size community division from the North Carolina Chapter of Community Associations. This category pertains to resort communities with 250 – 500 homes.
Nestled in a beautiful location on the Currituck Outer Banks, with access to both the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound, Corolla Light offers guests amenities such as tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, oceanfront complex, clubhouse, oceanfront dining, resort trolley, children’s activities and sports and exercise center.
Judging for the awards involved community associations throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. The process included such criteria as operating budgets, annual meetings, board meetings, welcome packets for owners and guests, architectural guidelines, rule enforcement, contracts, insurance and community involvement.
In addition, the panel also examined Corolla Light’s website design, newsletters, vacation guides, staff certifications, infrastructure, covenants, bylaws and rule enforcement. Surveys were also conducted with property owners and guests.
