Goose Creek Golf and Country Club
This course is located very close to the Atlantic Ocean, and the northerly winds can often become a major factor. The course was carved out of the heavily-wooded terrain. The front nine has wide-open fairways, and the back nine was designed to wind in and out of the forest. Six ponds come into play on many of the course's holes, and sand bunkers are spread throughout the entire design. Large oak and pine trees were placed in the middle of some of the sand bunkers, creating the need for some interesting shotmaking. Hole #15, a 215-yard, par 3, has a water hazard that runs from the tee box to the green and requires a shot into the wind. This is considered a "player friendly" course by the management.
